Martina Allen was born in West Palm Beach, Florida and was subsequently raised in a multitude of different states, and the country of Jamaica. As a person used to constantly changing scenes, her art reflects a need to create a sense of permanence.
She has been a part of multiple exhibitions and competitions, most recently the STEM Exhibit and Back to School Exhibit at Broward County’s North Regional/ Broward College Library, the White Rose Scholarship Foundation (Award Recipient, 2010), Broward County’s Superintendent AP Studio Art Exhibition (Winner, 2010), and the Bonnet House Showcase (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) for multiple years in the spring from 2007 to 2010.
Martina has recently completed her Bachelor’s in Studio Art at the Florida Atlantic University.
